Hi, I’m Bianca! 🌻
I am an undergraduate student in Geography at the Federal Fluminense University (UFF), and I am interested in understanding how social, cultural, economic, and environmental relations materialize in geographic space. My academic trajectory has been built through the dialogue between teaching, research, and extension activities, seeking to understand education and Geography as tools for the formation of individuals capable of critically interpreting the social and spatial relations that structure the reality in which they live.
Throughout my undergraduate studies, I participated in the scientific initiation project “Places of Teaching: cartographies of pedagogical strategies and spatial inequalities in the pandemic context in the Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro.” The research investigated the impacts of spatial inequalities on educational processes during the pandemic, contributing to reflections on teacher education, public education, and spatial justice.
I also took part in the Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBID), working with high school classes and developing activities focused on Geography teaching. In addition, I carried out an academic mobility experience in Portugal, expanding my contact with different educational practices, cultural perspectives, and debates on education.
I am interested in the areas of Geography Teaching, Environmental Education, Population Geography, Regional Geography, and Teacher Education. I seek to understand how economic, social, historical, and cultural processes produce inequalities and transformations in geographic space, as well as the role of education in building more critical readings of reality.

Personal interests
I am a person driven by curiosity and by an interest in observing how people build their relationships with the places where they live. Reading plays an important role in my life, especially works of suspense, mystery, drama, and horror fiction. During my time in Portugal, I joined the Porto Reading Club, organized by the Ruptura Collective, focused on critical discussions of social and political theory works. I currently maintain a small reading club called MileBi together with my younger sister, Camille, where we share readings and different interpretations of the stories that accompany us.
Born in Ilhéus, in Bahia, and always having lived in coastal cities, I grew up with the sea as part of my daily life. Since childhood, this environment has awakened in me curiosity and a strong sense of belonging. I also enjoy traveling, learning about different cultures, hiking, and observing the multiple ways of living and building space. I cultivate interests in crafts, decoration, and plants—activities that stimulate my creativity and attention to detail. I have many plants at home and enjoy following their growth and learning about their care.
